Mufti Kamran Abid

Resident Scholar

Mufti Mohammed Kamran Abid is a native of the Bay Area, having been raised in Fremont. His journey in Islamic education began at ICF Hifz, where he undertook the memorization of the Holy Quran under the guidance of Mufti Muddassir Oovais and Imam Ilyas Anwar. With the completion of his memorization, Mufti Kamran embarked on the pursuit of studying Sacred Knowledge at Darul Uloom Fremont, where he had the privilege of learning from esteemed local scholars such as Shaykh Tamim Ahmadi, Shaykh Abdurrashid Khan, Shaykh Salek bin Siddina, and Mufti Nawaz Khan. Concurrently, Mufti Kamran also pursued higher education at San Jose State University. However, his passion for Sacred Knowledge led him to seek admission to one of the most renowned Islamic Seminaries in the Muslim world, Darul Uloom Deoband in India.

Over the course of almost a decade of dedicated study, Mufti Kamran attained numerous ijazahs, surpassing the equivalent of a bachelor’s degree, in various Islamic sciences, including Fiqh, Hadith, Aqidah, Tafsir, Usul, Arabic Grammar, and its branches, among others. He was also granted ijazahs for numerous books of ahadith, including the Sihha Sittah, the six most authentic collections of Hadith, by the respected Mufti Sa’eed Ahmad Palanpuri (may Allah have mercy on him). Furthermore, he received permission to issue fatwas from Darul Ifta Birmingham.

Currently, Mufti Kamran actively lectures and plays a crucial role in the Alim and Alimah Course at Darul Uloom Fremont, where he imparts his knowledge and expertise to the students.
