Masjid Zakariya Phase 2 – Construction Update & Urgent Appeal
Masjid Zakariya Construction – Total Cost $4 million
Alhamdulillah, with your generous support, Masjid Zakariya Phase 2—a 28,000 sq. ft. expansion—has seen good progress since construction began in November 2024.
Achievements So Far
- Structural reinforcements completed (ceiling joists, beams)
- Framing and layouts of interior walls completed
- HVAC ducting installed
- Insulation installed
- Electrical work completed
- Fire sprinkler system installed
- Fire alarm system installed
A major milestone was achieved on September 3, 2025, when the City inspections for Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Framing were officially passed.
Over the past year, our community has donated $1 million, allowing us to reach this stage. We currently have a balance of $1.2 million, which will now be used to complete:
- New Prayer Area for Sisters
- Women’s Activity Area
- Youth Sports Facility
- Multi-Purpose Events Center (to serve both masjid and community needs)
- Classrooms for Darul Uloom & ILM Academy
