ICF Maktab offers daily Qur’an and Islamic education for boys and girls across two campuses — the Islamic Center of Fremont (Irvington Masjid) and Masjid Zakariya. Our aim is to teach every child to recite the Holy Qur’an correctly with proper Tajweed, to build fluency, and to ground them in the essentials of their deen and in good character (tarbiyah).
A New Structure for 2026–2027
This year, we are making a significant change. We are separating students by grade level and doubling our instructional time so that every child receives focused, level-appropriate teaching.
Each day now includes two full hours:
- One full hour of Qur’an — Qaida, Tajweed, Mashq, and Surah memorization.
- One full hour of Islamic Studies — lessons, review, dua memorization, and practical application.
We ask parents to dedicate these two hours, five days a week, and to commit to them for the full year. This is an investment in your child. By the tawfeeq of Allah, we hope this change will strengthen their bond with the Qur’an, shape their character, protect them from the fitnahs of our time, and firmly root their identity as Muslims. When families commit consistently, they see the fruit of that investment in their children’s lives, insha’Allah.
Maktab Class Details
- Days: Monday through Friday
- Time: 4:30 PM – 6:30 PM
- Arrival: Please arrive by 4:15–4:20 PM. Class begins promptly at 4:30 PM, and students should be seated and ready to begin their recitation at that time.
- Grades: 1 through 9 (boys and girls; classes are separated by grade)
- Monthly Fee: $125 per student
- One-Time Enrollment Fee: $50 per student

Part-Time / After-School Hifz
For students who have completed the Qur’an at least once and wish to begin memorizing portions of it. This class is also a prerequisite for Full-Time Hifz. An evaluation test with one of the Maktab Principals is required.
